In the poem by <a href="Samuel Taylor Coleridge">Samuel Taylor Coleridge</a>, the <a href="The Rime of the Ancient Mariner">Ancient Mariner</a> set sail from the town.<p>Watchet is a station on the <a href="West Somerset Railway">West Somerset Railway</a> and is the place where Saint Decuman was killed.
