Votkinsk Votkinsk University of Plymouth Category="Cities and towns in Russia"Votkinsk (Во´ткинск) is a small industrial Town in the ural parts of the District of Viatka in former Vyatka Province in Udmurtia, Russia. It is located about 630 miles ENE of Moscow, at 57°3′  53°58′ E, with a population of 99,441 (in 2002).

Other names: Kamsko-Votkinsk or Kamsko-Votinsk.

It was the birthplace and early residence of Russian Composer Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (also written as Peter Tchaikovsky in English and Пётр Ильи´ч Чайко´вский in Russian).

The Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology operates a machine plant here which produces some of Russia's long-range ballistic missiles.
