<catset>Category="Developmental biology"</catset>A <b>trochophore</b> (or trocophore) is a type of <a href="Larva">Larva</a> with several bands of <a href="Cilium">cilia</a>. They are found in certain <a href="Mollusk">mollusks</a>, <a href="Annelid">annelids</a>, and a few other phyla. Together, these make up part of the <a href="Lophotrochozoa">Lophotrochozoa</a>; it appears trochophore larvae were present in the life cycle of the group's common ancestor.
