Minerals in this group are formed by <a href="Serpentinization">Serpentinization</a>, a <a href="Metamorphic rock">metamorphic</a> chemical alteration of the Earth's <a href="Mantle (geology)">mantle</a> occurring at the sea floor at <a href="Plate tectonics">tectonic plate</a> boundaries. It is the state rock of <a href="California">California</a>, <a href="Usa, Oita">USA</a>.
