Qashliq Qashliq Sand filter Category="History of Russia"Qashliq (Tatar language: Qaşlıq, İskär, Sibir) was a medieval (14th-16th century) Siberian Tatar city near the right bank of Irtysh river (ruins are situated near the modern Tobolsk). Since the end of 15th century it was a capital of Siberian Khanate. The period of the most development was in the first half of 16th century. In 1582 troops of Cossack ataman Yermak seized and ruined Qashliq.
