It was also the sword used by Lapu-Lapu in his fight with Ferdinand Magellan in the Battle of Mactan 500 years ago. It is single edged and about 35 to 40 inches long, it has a handle that is made up of hardwood, and the end is designed to look like the open mouth of a Crocodile. It has a spikelet at the tip and is wide at the end and narrows down gradually to the hilt. It is comparable in strength and resilience in battle to the Japanese Katana.
