Kalemie, fomerly Alberville, is a town on the western shore of <a href="Lake Tanganyika">Lake Tanganyika</a> in the <a href="Democratic Republic of the Congo">Democratic Republic of Congo</a>. It has a port for steamers across the lake to <a href="Tanzania">Tanzania</a> and northwards to <a href="Uvira">Uvira</a>.
