Humash or Chumash (Hebrew: שמוח) is one name given to the Pentateuch in Judaism. The word comes from "chamesh (masc.)/ chamisha (fem.)", the Hebrew word for "five", because of the Five Books of Moses that comprise the Torah. The word chumash generally only refers to "book" bound editions of the Pentateuch, whereas the "scroll" form is called a Sefer Torah.

A more common use for the word, in modern Jewish parlance, is for an arrangement of the Torah, separated by Parsha, and containing, in addition to the text of each parsha, the text for each parsha from the Targum of Onkelos, as well as commentaries and interpretations from various sources, along with the Haftarah for each parsha.
