<catset>Category="Dacia"</catset><b>Deceneus</b> (or <i>Dicineus</i>, <i>Dekaineos</i>) was the High Priest of <a href="Zalmoxis">Zalmoxis</a> in the time of <a href="Burebista">Burebista</a>, in ancient <a href="Dacia">Dacia</a>. He held almost <a href="Monarchy">royal</a> powers, and was a chief advisor of Burebista, the Dacian king.<p>In <i><a href="The Origin and Deeds of the Goths">Getica</a></i>, where Dacian history has been inserted in that of the <a href="Goths">Goths</a>, he is given as the lawgiver of the Goths.
