Cleffa
Cleffa is a fictional character from the Pokémon Franchise. It was first introduced to the games in the Gold and Silver versions of Pokémon and will evolve into Clefairy if it is treated kindly. Name Origin"Cleffa" is probably a shortening of the name of this Pokémon's evolved form, Clefairy. Its name also has a probably unintentional coincidence contained within it; "Cleffa" can be split into the musical terms clef and fa and the members of its evolutionary line are known for their singing capabilities.Cleffa's Japanese name, Pii, is related to the word little, and at only a foot tall, Cleffa does live up to this name. The following is what Cleffa is known as around the world: BiologyThis Pokémon loves to stick its tongue out and is often seen hanging out with other young Pokémon such as Igglybuff. Due to its unusual, star-shaped silhouette and when lots of meteors illuminate the night sky, sightings of Cleffa strangely increase, some people believe that it came to the Pokémon world on a meteor. If the impact site of a meteorite is found, this Pokémon is certain to be within the immediate area. On nights with many shooting stars, Cleffa can be seen dancing in a ring. They dance through the night and stop only at the break of day, when these Pokémon quench their thirst with the morning dew. Anime AppearancesCleffa apears in only 3 episodes of the animé. First it was in Millennium town with the Pichu Brothers. After that one fell out of the Clefairy's space ship so Ash and his friends decided to help it. Its final appearance came in episode 411 (Mt Moon! With Cleffa, Clefairy, and Clefable!) where it is with the Clefairy and Clefable at Mt. Moon.In the Video GamesCleffa is only found in the FireRed and LeafGreen games and even then not as a catch. You must breed a Clefairy and/or Clefable on LeafGreen or FireRed. If you want it in Ruby or Sapphire, you need to trade it from LeafGreen/FireRed.After trading from FireRed or LeafGreen, Cleffa learns the following attacks naturally (with the level at which this happens in brackets): Pound (from birth), Charm (from birth), Encore (level 4), Sing (level 8), Sweet Kiss (level 13). In FireRed or LeafGreen, she learns the same attacks as above but also Magical Leaf at level 17. In Super Smash Bros. Melee, Cleffa's Trophy description claims that its connection to Staryu is unknown. However, the idea that Cleffa has any connection to Staryu is unsubstantiated. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
