He is connected with <a href="Dew">Dew</a>, and as such, is one of the gods of fertility. He is the father of <a href="Budha">Budha</a>, (Planet <a href="Mercury (planet)">Mercury</a>) the mother being either <a href="Tara (Devi)">Tara</a> or <a href="Rohini Devi">Rohini</a>.
