Borjomi

Borjomi is a town and a resort in Kartli province of Eastern Georgia. It is situated in the western part of that province. The town is famous for its mineral waters industry. Borjomi mineral water is famous in the countries, which were part of USSR, and the bottling of mineral water is a major source of income for the area. Because of the supposed curative powers of the area's mineral springs, it is a frequent destination for people with health problems.

Georgia announced on June 22, 2005 that Borjomi together with Bakuriani is an applicant city for the 2014 Winter Olympics.
