First appearing in 2001, the Beretta 92G Elite IA model came into being on demand of sports shooting competitors and law enforcement.Specifications
The Beretta 92G Elite IA is fitted with the heavy Brigadier slide and a slide mounted decocking device. It is based on the Beretta 92FS Vertec frame. The slide is made out of carbon Steel, the frame is black anodized Aluminium Alloy. The Stainless steel barrel is slightly shorter than on other Beretta 92 pistols in order to reduce the risk of damaging the barrel muzzle.Intended market

The Beretta 92G Elite IA retained all the reliability advantages of Beretta 92 line, plus the added advantages of the longer lasting heavy slide. As there is no manual Safety, it is quicker into action then comparable FS models. The user can fit a tactical light or laser on the front equipment rail.Limitations
The main limitation is the fact that there is no manual safety, which makes the unloading of this pistol somewhat less safe. Other then that it suffers from the same limitations in harsh envrionments as all Beretta 92 pistols and also from the Bruniton wear problems inside the slide which increases slide to frame play.Technical data
